Helpful information on finding good plumbers

To make you a better shopper of plumbing services in Baltimore please follow these words of advice.

1. Be as specific as you can on what is your exact plumbing service issue is. The more specific, the better chance you’ll get the right kind of plumber

2. Can the plumber show you their insurance documentation. As a consumer myself of plumbing companies and service contractors I’m always being told contractors that they are insured and bonded. The problem is, that some plumbers say they are insured in fact they are not.

You see you may say to yourself that this plumbing problem is small and the company that I have chosen won’t be in the house long enough to have a problem. You may also say that the owner is the one who is fixing the problem so I don’t need to worry.

In fact that is the time to worry if they don’t have insurance. All someone has to do is slip, break something even get in a car accident on the way to your house and you become responsible. That less expensive plumber that has no insurance ( or says they have insurance and don’t ) can sue you for millions or not be able to pay for the kitchen that exploded with their work.

As I always say, dealing with a company without actual documented insurance is like playing Russian Roulette.

As Clint Eastwood says, “ Do you feel Lucky”

3. Are they Licensed ?

Not all plumbers who folks that do plumbing are licensed. You may be shocked that the plumber that you have used may not be licensed. A Maryland license plumber is an assurance that your are dealing with a knowledgeable plumber.
